October Fishing Report
We are also still specifically targeting yellow and white bass, and the bite most days has been really good with some of the biggest fish we have seen this year. The whites are not as concentrated as they were for us, but we are usually able to find a few in the mix. We are still looking for these species around the river channels and mouths of major bays and creeks. Jigging spoons and inline spinners seem to be what has worked the best for us. I also spent about an hour on one of my trips specifically catfishing and caught some nice blues in about 40 foot of water on shrimp. This is another option to explore if one would like to pursue it.
If anyone out there would like to get on the water, I think now is a perfect time. The fish have been biting and the weather looks like it is going to remain nice so give one of us a call. Don's cell is 270-559-1366 and mine is 270-331-3519. One of the three of us will work hard to find something to tug on your line and take home to the skillet.
For anyone that has not visited the Moors Resort, now is the time whether you fish or not. The trees are beginning to take on their lovely fall colors and the weather is pleasant. Today, I saw two different bald eagles, and we have a lot of pelicans here on the lake presently. Moors and the entire lake area has a lot to offer, so don't miss out before winter sets in. Thanks again to all of our customers! We enjoy the time we get to spend on the water and the friendships we have made with each and ever one of you.
